All are welcome to attend the first meeting of the PEI History of Medicine Society: Main Building Faculty Lounge, June 6 at 7 pm.
We have two speakers for the evening: Dr. James Moran (UPEI History department) will speak on "The Scourge of the St. Lawrence: St. Paul's Bay Disease in Colonial Quebec," and Dr. Jock Murray (Dalhousie Medical School) will speak on "Illness in National Leaders: Experience on the White House Committee on Incapacity in US Presidents." Along with the two talks, we’ll discuss plans for the Society next year. This will be a chance for health professionals, historians, and community members who have an interest in the broad area of the history of medicine to hear about each other's projects. For more information, please contact Shannon Murray (566-0404, firstname.lastname@example.org) or Lamont Sweet (368-4996).
