A Musical "Informance" Event - Tuesday, March 16 at the Robertson Library

An informal and informative performance by Island cellist Julia MacLaine, violinist Jennifer Curtis, and violist Margaret Dyer will charm your lunch hour next week. Julia, Jennifer, and Margaret play regularly in and around New York and Boston, primarily in ensembles and projects they have founded - but next Tuesday (from 11.45 am-12.30 pm), you can hear them in the foyer of the Robertson Library. Come...listen to the music, converse with the performers, and change up your day! Everyone is welcome.

A follow-up concert, entitled "Schumann Birthday Celebration" with UPEI faculty pianist, Frances Gray, will take place at UPEI's Steel Recital Hall on Thursday, March 18 at 7.30 pm.

Master of Arts in Island Studies Graduate Research Day and Open House - March 11

UPEI’s Master of Arts in Island Studies program is hosting its annual Graduate Research Day and Open House on Thursday, March 11, in the Main Building Faculty Lounge, UPEI, from 9 am to 4 pm. Graduate students will present their research, highlighting "islands on their own terms." This is an opportunity for students to share their research findings and receive valuable feedback from an audience, while the listeners learn of the multidisciplinary, international and comparative nature of island studies. For a detailed schedule of presenters, contact mais@upei.ca or call (902) 566-0377.
