What do we do when we teach? Drafting a Statement of Teaching Philosophy

Central to most teaching dossiers is a "Teaching Statement," or Statement of Teaching Philosophy." In this workshop, led by Shannon Murray, participants will see a variety of models for the teaching statement, try a couple of exercises aimed at focussing the statements, and learn some principles and conventions of the statement.

International Development Week: Luncheon in the Faculty Lounge, Main Building

As part of International Development Week activities (February 8 to 12), the Campus community is invited to the University Luncheon in the Faculty Lounge, Main Building, on Tuesday, February 9 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Dr. Jennifer Taylor will moderate a panel discussion on the topic of Access to Quality Food.
Panelists will be Roy Van der Maar, a local quality food advocate; Nancy Clement from the PEI Association for Newcomers, and Reg Phalen, an organic grower and supporter of VIa Campesino, the largest organization of small producers in the world. The event will be catered by Eat Well, and the cost is $7.
