The research theme involves the development of peptide polymer hybrids, peptide based nano therapeutics and study of their in vitro and in vivo biological applications. The projects of interest focus on designing novel nano materials based on the delivery needs of targeted area in the body. This allows precise tuning and development of nanoparticles for specific biological applications. The research areas developed by site specific and selective engineering of therapeutic vectors at molecular level offer a variety of training opportunities for students and fellows, including peptide and polymer synthesis, bioconjugation techniques, cell culture techniques, and gene and drug delivery approaches in mouse models.
