Mary L. Walsh is Director of the Climate Change Learning and Information Center, a consulting organization focused on the impacts of global climate change on communities and regions. Her organization has worked with the US Environmental Protection Agency, and organizations such as the National League of Cities, the International City/ County Management Association (ICMA) and the US National Estuarine Research Reserve. Walsh has assisted in the development of the Metro East Coast Climate Assessment headed by the Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York City and has developed a climate change training program for EPA Region 1. She teaches courses on climate change and environmental stresses on island communities.

Mary's publications include The Ethical Dimensions of Climate Change, 2010, (ICMA); Local Governments and Climate Change (ICMA , 2007); Sustainable Energy: Power Solutions for Local Governments (ICMA, 2001); and Climate Change: Strategies for Local Governments (ICMA, 1998).
