Incident Reporting at UPEI (Vice-President Administration and Finance site)

The University of Prince Edward Island is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for the University Community to work, study, and visit. This site includes health and safety policies, procedures, and other documents and forms to protect workers, faculty, staff, students, visitor, and the environment from harm.

The Health and Safety Office is here to assist you in fulfilling your health and safety responsibilities and to provide oversight and guidance on health and safety compliance. Safety is a responsibility shared by everyone on campus.

The staff of the Health and Safety Office offers:

  • Advice on health and safety issues
  • Incident management including assisting in incident investigation and prevention
  • Support to the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOHSC formerly HSSC)
  • Development and implementation of university policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Safety training
  • Risk assessment tools to identify and mitigate risks
  • Monitoring and auditing the university’s compliance with legislation and codes
  • Scheduling ergonomic assessments
  • Assisting with Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) assessments

The Health and Safety Office is located in the Kelley Memorial Building on the 3rd level, rooms 309 and 310.
