HOW TO REGISTER FOR A COURSE AND REGISTRATION DATES

How to register for a course?

To register for a course at the University of Prince Edward Island you need to go to Campus login and use your student ID number and your PIN number.  Once you have successfully logged in you will see many different options that are available to you.  Choose "Register in first semester (September - December) or Register in second semester "January - April).

When can I register?

Academic Year 2011-2012 Registration Dates
  • July  12 - 8:30 a.m: students with Fourth-year standing
  • July  13 - 8:30 a.m: students with Third-year standing
  • July  14 - 8:30 a.m: students with Second-year standing
  • July  15 - 8:30 a.m: students with First-year standing and Unclassified students

Not sure of your “year standing”?

For purposes of registration and statistical analysis of the student body, all full-time students are categorized as First-, Second-, Third-, or Fourth-Year students. The categories are based on completed semester-hours of study, as follows:

  • First-year: 0-18
  • Second-year: 21-48
  • Third-year: 51-78
  • Fourth-year: 81+

This designation does not mean that all degree requirements for a given year of a program have necessarily been met, nor does it refer to the number of years a student has studied at UPEI.

Enrolment Status
To qualify as a full-time undergraduate student in any given semester, one must be registered:

  • in 9 or more semester-hours of study (usually 3 courses taken for credit);
  • as a full-time English for Academic Preparation (EAP) program student; or
  • as a co-op, internship, or practicum student on a full-time work placement (equivalent to 15 semester-hours of study).
