The New Managers Certificate offers ten (10) days of training over several months and is delivered by content area experts who are terrific in the classroom. 

Who should take this course

The New Managers Certificate is designed for those who are new to the manager/supervisor's role or aspire to be a manager/supervisor. 

Overview

Each interactive workshop will take place in the classroom and allow the participants to:

  • network with others in similar roles
  • discuss current challenges and ideas
  • learn from both the facilitators and peers
  • focus on learning
  • develop confidence
  • gather tools and techniques that can easily be applied to the workplace

Participants completing all ten (10) days of training will receive a certificate on completion from UPEI.

The fee for the New Managers Certificate program is $2,500 when a participant registers for all ten (10) courses. 

Certificate requirements

Certificate requirements are the requirements participants must follow to obtain the certificate.  

  • To obtain the New Managers Certificate participants must complete all ten (10) courses.
  • Certificate requirements must be met within 2 years. 
  • This certificate programs is cohort based with each module building on the previous one. Individual module registration will not be permitted. 
  • Certificate programs are reviewed and updated on a regular basis. For successful completion of a certificate program, participants must meet the requirements that are 'locked in' when they register for the certificate.

Payment information

Upon receipt of a completed registration the participant will receive an email requesting payment. 

Payment must be made prior to the start of the course.

UPEI accepts cash, cheque, Visa, or MasterCard; third-party billing is possible when confirmation from the third party is received (e.g., employer, association, organization, etc.)  

UPEI reserves the right to share information with a third party for collection purposes in the event payment is not received.

Course cancellations and changes

UPEI reserves the right to cancel courses due to low enrolment or various other circumstances. If a cancellation is to occur, every effort will be made to give adequate notice to enrolled participants. The fee for the cancelled course will be credited to the students account to be used toward their next course. Refunds are not issued automatically, as many students prefer to transfer. If you would like a refund, please contact us.

Withdraws
