The Administrative Professional's Development Program is designed for those who have been working in the administrative professional field and have found gaps in their skills, need to update their skills as a result of a change in their job or simply want to enhance their knowledge and skills.

The program will allow participants the opportunity to update their skills and expand their professional relationships. Workshops in the following areas will be delivered:

Understanding Change and Transformation in Individuals and Organizations

This workshop will help participants understand the process of change, the stress of change and the ways to cope successfully with personal and professional requirements for change. Participants will examine their own experience of change; discover the difference between change and transformation; learn how to predict the success of a proposed change; recognize different reactions to change; and determine how to lead creative and safe change in the workplace.

Participants will learn to prioritize TO-DO list, limit interruptions, delegate tasks more effectively, and become more aware of activities that waste time.  The facilitator will review the basics of such organizational skills as: attention to detail, decision making, problem solving and multi-tasking.

This course will focus primarily on conflict from an interpersonal perspective: why is happens and what can be done to prevent and/or resolve it. Through the course participants will develop a better understanding of the multi-layered nature of conflict, the five core concerns that lie at the heart of many emotional challenges, and the ten roles each of us can play to prevent and resolve it.
