Research and Graduate Studies

Research at the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering is very diverse and interdisciplinary and is supported by our Research Centres of Excellence: Robotics and Industrial Automation; Sustainable Energy; Bioresources; Sensors, Optics, and Imaging; and Advanced Manufacturing.

Our faculty members are actively engaged in applied research, mainly in collaboration with industry partners. Information on research expertise can be found on the individual faculty profile pages or via IslandScholar.

Graduate students play a critical role in industry research collaborations and gain experience working on real-world problems with external clients. The Faculty currently offers an MSc in Sustainable Design Engineering, and a PhD in Sustainable Design Engineering.
