"Like the Back of My Hand" is a video based on the journals and photographs of someone who could not live without wild things.

Geoffrey Hogan was born on Prince Edward Island. He was a naturalist and a gardener who came to appreciate and love his home place more with each year he spent exploring the Island and cultivating his own gardens. In his gentle way, Geoff also cultivated the sensibilities of those around him so that they, too, would know and love wild things and wild places. His popular courses and nature tours, and his book, Familiar Birds of Prince Edward Island [Ragweed Press], have profoundly influenced many people.

"Like the Back of My Hand" is a view of Prince Edward Island through the eyes of Geoff Hogan. We see landscape, seascape, farmland, woodland, flora and fauna from the perspective of a naturalist who chronicled every nuance of season in his journal and with his photographs.”
