Lighting the Way presents the results of the first world test of a policy methodology called Knowledge Assessment, developed by the US National Research Council. The purpose of Knowledge Assessment is to determine the ability of a jurisdiction to compete to world standards in the "knowledge economy." The Knowledge Assessment Methodology project was coordinated on PEI by the Institute of Island Studies.
