Internships

Since 2006 the Institute of Islands Studies has organized three international internships between the Institute, community partners in PEI and overseas on the Island of Chiloe, which is located off of the southern coast of the Chilean Patagonia. These internships have given young educated adults an opportunity to increase their professional research skills and provided them with international experience, while introducing them to the study of small islands. These internships are apart of the Canadian International Development Agency's International Youth Internship Program and are applied for in conjunction with the Atlantic Council for International Co-operation.
