In 2008 this project, which is spearheaded by Jean Hughes PhD(Dal / Nursing & Psychiatry / IWK) was ranked the highest out of the competition at the Letter of Intent stage. The Community-University Research Alliance (CURA) will support a community-based, interdisciplinary, mixed methods, participatory study in 3 rural communities in Atlantic Canada. It will support new research that tests a range of community-driven, evidence-based strategies designed to enhance youth engagement and mental health. Our team is currently working on the full proposal which will be submitted in October, 2008.
