 Maximum of six hours/week in both Fall and Winter semester

As per UPEI Student Rates of Pay

September 1, 2014 to May 15, 2015

Applications are invited from junior and senior Biology students as well as  graduate students interested in demonstrating/instructing in the following Biology laboratories; Environmental Biology 101, Introductory Biology 131/132, Human Anatomy (Nursing and AHS) 121,  Animal Diversity 204, Human Anatomy (Biology) 209, General Ecology 222 , Intro Physiology 326, Evolutionary Biology382, Watershed Ecology 462 and other courses as the need arises.


• Can include setup/dismantling, demonstrating, assisting or instructing in the lab, conducting tutorials, and the marking of  exams and assignments.
• The successful applicants will be required to participate on a weekly basis for the  duration of the fall semester ( 3-4 hours/lab/week).


• Applicants must possess good communication skills;
• be WHMIS trained; and
• have a knowledge of the laboratory material and an acceptable academic record (min.70%).

All students interested in working as lab demonstrators must be WHMIS trained. The WHMIS course is available online ( see the Human Resources web site)
