The School of Business at the University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a sessional instructor to teach an Executive MBA course in Winter 2017. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

Bus 607 – Strategic Management
This course looks at the development and implementation of management strategies to create a sustainable advantage within new ventures and entrepreneurial activities. Utilizing a variety of pedagogy, the course may include such topics as long-term sustainable business models, venture competencies, analysis of external and internal environments, product and market development, growth management and the implementation of change.

(Offered every second Saturday from March 4 to April 15, 2017)

Because this is an Executive MBA (EMBA) course, we seek applicants with a strong combination of qualifications and experience. Successful applicants will have a PhD, preferably in a business or a related discipline, with practical experience in the subject area. Given the EMBA students’ diverse backgrounds, international experience in strategic management would be an advantage. Consideration will be given to candidates with a master’s degree in a relevant field who possess extensive executive experience in the subject area. Knowledge and familiarity with “Evidence-based Management” principles is an asset.

Priority will be given to individuals who are on the sessional roster and have the appropriate qualifications.
