$11.27 per hour (vacation pay included)

First Year Experience seeks applications for one part-time undergraduate student research assistant.


• Administer pre/mid/post-term assessments using both quantitative and qualitative approaches.
• Photocopying/scanning.
• Assist in the recruitment, maintenance, and monitoring of a complement of undergraduate learning facilitators.
• Transcription of audio-taped interviews & focus groups.
• Ongoing collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative research data.


• The position is most suited to a fourth year undergraduate student with previous experience in research data collection, data entry and transcription. 
• Experience in analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data is essential.
• The successful student must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Be able to function effectively in a team environment.
