The Centre for Health and Biotechnology Management Research is seeking to hire a student research assistant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for cleaning data files and developing and modifying SAS code in order to merge health data files from separate data bases.
Specific duties include:
• contact with PEI provincial epidemiologists and UPEI health researchers
• reading and writing SAS code
• cleaning raw data files
• merging multiple data files for analyses by researchers in the Department of Applied Health Sciences
• Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree in a health science discipline (nutrition, epidemiology, nursing)
• Applicants must have successfully completed graduate level statistics and epidemiology courses
• Experience with generating SAS code for analyses of large data sets
• Strong attention to detail; meticulous and exacting approach to data management
