 The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is seeking three student assistants for the UPEI Math Help Centre, located in Cass 105.
The successful candidates will report to the Facilitator of the Math Help Centre. Student tutors are required to provide assistance to students in any 1st and 2nd year Mathematics and Statistics courses. The Math Help Centre operates Monday to Thursday 1:00-5:00 pm throughout the academic year.
Preference will be given to third or fourth-year Math majors, or students with a B.Sc. in Mathematics who are in the Education degree program. Students must possess the knowledge of the topics covered in UPEI's 1st and 2nd year Mathematics and Statistics courses. Extremely exceptional second year mathematics majors are also encouraged to apply. Experience in tutoring mathematics, working with students, and use of technology (eg., Maple ®) are desirable assets.
Priority to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
