The Department of English invites applications for two sessional positions to teach
ENGLISH/ UPEI 1010-3 and ENGLISH/UPEI 1010-13: ACADEMIC WRITING. These appointments are subject to final budgetary approval.
ENGLISH/UPEI 1010-3 and 1010-13: ACADEMIC WRITING
Academic Writing provides an introduction to university writing and rhetoric, aimed at the development of critical thinking, analytical reading, and effective written communication in an academic environment.
ENGLISH/UPEI 1010-3 Monday / Wednesday / Friday from 10:30 am to 11:20 am
ENGLISH/UPEI 1010-13 Tuesday / Thursday from 4:00 pm to – 5:15 pm
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. Minimum qualifications are a Master’s degree in English and evidence of effective teaching experience in the relevant area. Preference will be given to applicants possessing a PhD in English.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster in the academic unit.
