$46,810 - $51,461 per annum, prorated to time and term as per CUPE 1870

 January 2015 – May 31, 2015 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements.)

The Department of Applied Human Sciences invites applications for a 5 month term (January - May) Laboratory Instructor for Kinesiology.


The successful candidate will be required to setup, supervise and instruct laboratories in areas such as Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics and Fitness Assessment. They will also be responsible for the procurement of supplies, running and maintenance of equipment and general day-to-day oversight of the teaching laboratories.


Minimum qualifications include a B.Sc. in Kinesiology and CSEP-CPT certification (a Masters degree and CSEP-CEP certification would be assets), prior experience teaching in a laboratory setting as a lead instructor, and proficiency with techniques for the collection of human physiological and biomechanical data. Candidates must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, show evidence of their ability to maintain effective interpersonal relations, be enthusiastic about laboratory teaching and management, and be able to work independently.
