 Working under the supervision of the UPEI Digital Economy Research Team and affiliated with the Centre for Education Research, a part-time Qualitative Researcher is required to work on initiatives related to A University-College-Government-Community Partnership to Transform Education for Employment in the Digital Economy. This cross-sectorial partnership is being developed to co-create knowledge on how the digital economy changes the kinds of literacies students require to be successful, to increase the socio-cultural imagination of what is possible in schools, and to more accurately identify teacher capacity for innovation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will:
• Independently collect and analyze qualitative data;
• Independently conduct literature reviews;
• Collaborate with the researcher team to draft ethics submissions;
• Collaborate with the researcher team to draft follow up grant submissions;
• Assist with preparation of reports and manuscripts for publication;
• Other additional duties associated with qualitative research.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
• A B.Ed., preferable a MEd or M.A., and have a minimum of two years in a classroom setting.
• Be an experienced user of social media and information and communication technology. Ideally, candidates will be familiar information and communication technologies;
• Have an advanced level of research, writing, and analytical skills;
• Have a strong understanding of the research process, be able to work independently, and provide regular updates to the research team.
