The Department of Athletics and Recreation is currently creating a list of energetic, outgoing, customer service focused team members to join our Panther Event Staff for the 2014-2015 varsity seasons.  The Game Day Announcer / DJ is important in creating and enhancing the atmosphere and overall experience of Panther Events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Announcing game day line-ups, in-game sponsor announcements, and game related information (fouls, penalties, scoring, etc)
• Set up and take down of music equipment
• Playing music during pre-games and warm-ups, during stoppages in game play, and post-game
• Must remain unbiased in their delivery of announcements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Understanding of, or familiarity with types of music and sound clips normally played at sporting events
• Confident in using a microphone in large crowds setting
• Enthusiastic, outgoing, well spoken
• Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays 
• Must be comfortable in large crowds
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (3-4 hours)
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions as some events are held outdoors
