$45,434 to $49,995 per annum, pro-rated to term as per CUPE 1870

October 2014 to April 3, 2015 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements.) 

The E-learning Office within the Office of Skills Development and Learning (OSDL) supports academic departments and faculty members to extend their teaching in an online environment. As OSDL continues to create online education opportunities for learners in various contexts and disciplines, developing digital literacies for all members of the UPEI community has become a priority.

Reporting to the Director of the OSDL, the Instructional Multimedia Specialist will assist the team of E-learning Instructional Designers and the Career Services office in the development and deployment of online and face-to-face training support materials focused around digital literacies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Instructional Multimedia Specialist will be responsible for:
• recording, uploading, editing and managing instructional digital artifacts,
• offering technical support, and
• delivering face-to-face training support to staff and students as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in the the area of mulitmedia design or film studies
• Equivalent education and/or experience will be considered.
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong oral communication skills
• Strong digital literacy skills
• Strong drawing skills
• Strong storyboarding skills
• Ability to work independently
• Bachelor of Science and/or Education degree would be preferred
• Experience with Wordpress, Drupal, Moodle, Google Apps, Pressbooks, and social media
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Audacity, and/or Screenflow would be assets
