Hours of Work: 

18.75 hours per week, with the possibility of hours to be increased as required by the Board

$41,993 - $46,187 per annum pro-rated to time and term

Commencing as soon as possible for up to 1 year (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements.)

 The Office of the President seeks an experienced, highly organized, motivated person with positive attitude and excellent communication skills as Recording Secretary to the Board of Governors.
The Recording Secretary to the UPEI Board of Governors will attend Board and Board Committee meetings, record minutes, schedule meetings, prepare and distribute pre meeting packages; maintain records and provide related duties. The work requires the ability to work evenings and flexible hours, depending when meetings are held.

Successful completion of at least two years in a post secondary program related to the duties plus progressive related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency with WordPerfect Suite and Microsoft Office required; must have excellent knowledge of grammar and composition; accuracy; excellent organizational abilities, initiative and discretion; must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing; must have good interpersonal skills; must be able to work some flexible hours and be adaptable to changing circumstances. Knowledge of UPEI and its operations would be an asset.
