$42,800 per annum prorated to time and term (Grant funded, CUPE 1870 Off Scale).

As soon as possible until August 2016 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, this position will support the work of the Project Manager and Project Co-Leads of the Wekimün School Project through a variety of administrative tasks.

Financial
• Support preparation for audit by funder.
• Support of financial reporting, filing and document management to UPEI Accounting including review of all claims and associated expenses for accuracy prior to submission.
• Assist with monthly reconciliation of credit cards and in-country bank account.
• Organization of supporting financials documentation.
• Preparation of expense claims and travel advances.

Administrative
• Assist with drafting and editing reports, ethics files, evaluation tools, funding proposals, and various communication and curriculum pieces.
• Assist and support the submission of Research Ethics Board approvals.
• Coordination of meetings and travel.
• Liaison between staff and partners in Chile and Canada.
• Ability to review reports and financials with regards to Project guiding documents and contractual agreements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certificate in business or financial administration, public administration, or related discipline.
• A degree would be considered an asset.
• Three years of experience in administrative and financial support.
• Experience in assisting with writing proposals and tracking budgets.
• Excellent command of office software and technology.
• Exceptional time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, with an adaptable approach to problem solving.
• Experience with UPEI policy and process considered a strong asset.
