The Faculty of Education at the University of Prince Edward Island seeks a part-time (10 hours per week x 30 weeks) Graduate Research Assistant (RA) on site, day-time, June - December 31, 2015, reporting directly to the Graduate Studies Coordinator, indirectly to the Dean.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contribute to the design and promotion of MEd or PhD orientation strategies, e.g., MEd Moodle site.
• Establish a monthly Graduate Education Seminar Series and Graduate Education Journal Club, e.g, survey interests, arrange speakers, prepare notices for distribution.
• Search and disseminate information on graduate student research funding, e.g., pilot project funds, travel funds, awards, bursaries, scholarships.
• Search and disseminate information on graduate student support services, e.g., Accessibility, Writing, Counseling, Online technology support.
• Gather information on Masters and Doctoral education programs particularly in the Atlantic Region and Canada.
• Contribute to proposal writing by the Graduate Studies Coordinator, e.g., re Program Evaluation, Graduate Research Dissemination.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently enrolled in either the MEd or PhD program at UPEI.
• Research experience.
