Residence Services is seeking a Residence Services Assistant for the summer months of 2016 and pending performance the 2016-2017 academic year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Residence Services Assistant will provide assistance and support to the Residence Services operation during the summer months and the academic year
• Duties will include operating student accommodations software
• Assisting with residence applications
• Receiving and responding to telephone and e-mail inquiries
• Receiving and routing residence mail
• Contacting students regarding packages
• Computer data entry regarding on-line residence room maintenance requests
• Supporting students and general public with the UPEI CampusCard
• Working with and providing assistance to the staff of Residence Services and Ancillary Services
• Other such related duties

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong customer service skills
• A professional and positive attitude, energetic, courteous, good telephone etiquette and attention to detail
• Able to work well within a team environment as well as independently
• Familiarity with UPEI’s residences, the university campus, Charlottetown and PEI
• Comfortable with computers (with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive)
• Experience working with cash
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekdays, and holidays
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
