Varies  (June–August 30th 37.5 hrs/wk; Sept-April max of 15 hrs/wk).

$10.76 per hour (vacation pay included)

June 2015 – April 30, 2016 with possibility of extension

The School of Nursing is looking to hire a student assistant.  This position will require a student who is highly organized, efficient, self-directed and who can work independently if necessary.


• The duties of this position will include conducting computerized searches of health-related literature.
• Assisting with updating the nursing website.
• Filing and organizing nursing literature.
• Reading and summarizing articles.
• Entering class notes and preparing overheads in PowerPoint.
• Preparing class readings.
• Preparing files.
• Maintaining office supplies.
• Receiving and distributing mail, and any other work as directed by the Administrative Assistant.


The successful applicant will be a nursing student with:
• Strong organizational and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience working with a website.
