Hours of Work: 

20-25 hours per week (variable) to a maximum of 200 hours over the term. Must be available afternoons Tuesday to Thursday

Salary: 
$50,347 to $55,378 per annum, prorated to time and term as per CUPE 1870
Term: 

September 6th, 2016 to December 20th, 2016 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements)

The Department of Biology of the University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a laboratory coordinator to be responsible for labs in Biology 326 (Introductory Physiology of Cells and Organisms) during the Fall Semester 2016.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attending Physiology laboratories and assisting students with technical parts of labs and with writing reports and performing data analysis
• Assisting the course instructor with evaluating of written work, and
• Other duties as assigned by the course instructor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.Sc. in Biology, with a strong background in physiology
• Experience instructing physiology labs
• Good scientific writing skills
