Mandatory meetings are scheduled throughout the semesters. Most positions require 10 -15 hrs per week. Hours worked range from early mornings to late nights and weekends.

Salary: 
$10.40 per hour (vacation pay included)

UPEI Athletics and Recreation hire over 50 student assistants throughout the academic year, making us one of the largest employers of students on campus. Student employees have major roles in the overall operation of the Athletic and Recreation facilities. We are looking for dependable and reliable students to help facilitate programs and services that are offered.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Panther Fitness Desk Staff – The Panther Fitness desk staff oversees activities in the fitness area by providing basic knowledge of equipment use, encouragement to participants as well as cleaning equipment, monitoring access to the fitness centre and providing the best quality customer service. Preference will be given to those students with certification/training by a recognized fitness certification program.
NOTE: All applicants must submit their Fall and Winter semester course schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must have excellent customer service skills and positive attitude in serving students and other members. All student staff must have current CPR and AED training or agree to obtain this certification at their own expense.
Priority to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
