The Department of Health Management at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), is seeking a sessional instructor to assist in delivery of VHM 323 and 324 – Large Animal Medicine and Reproduction. This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.

VHM 323 and 324 – Equine and Food Animal Health and Reproduction

These are third-year courses offered during the fall semester.   The focus of the courses is to teach medicine and reproductive diseases of cattle, ruminants and horses.  The focus of the classes is clinical medicine and theriogenology. Students are given instruction in food animal and equine disease management and reproduction.

Applicant must hold a DVM degree and advanced training and experience in Ruminant (cattle, sheep and goat) and equine medicine.  Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD and clinical experience in a teaching institution.

Please note that preference will be given to qualified candidates on the UPEI Sessional Roster in the academic unit.
