Sessional Instructor - School of Mathematical & Computational Sciences (Fall 2018)
The School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at the University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a sessional instructor during the forthcoming Fall 2018 semester. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
MATH-2420 COMBINATORICS I - (3 Credits)
This course offers a survey of topics in discrete mathematics that are essential for students majoring in the Mathematical and Computational Sciences. Topics include: logic, proof techniques such as mathematical induction, recursion, counting methods, and introductory graph theory. Three lecture hours per week. Requisites: Math 1920 - Must be completed prior to taking this course.
Qualifications:
Successful applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience. Applicants should have experience in teaching, research or industry practice related to the course content.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster in the academic unit.
