Two research assistant positions are available for undergraduate engineering students with interest in the development of bioprinting and microfluidic technologies. Bioprinting is an emerging technology for creating tissue constructs for numerous applications including tissue engineering, drug discovery and drug delivery. The students will work under the supervision of Dr. Ali Ahmadi, and will receive training and gain experience in the areas of bioprinting and biomedical engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The students will work on the design, development and optimization of technologies for dispensing living cells and biomaterials

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic knowledge of thermofluidics and engineering drawing (CAD) is required
  • Previous experience with 3D printing and proficiency in technical writing is required

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
