Sessional Instructor - School of Mathematical & Computational Sciences (Fall 2018)
The School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at the University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a sessional instructor during the forthcoming Fall 2018 semester. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
CS-3420 COMPUTER COMMUNICATIONS (3 Credits)
This course introduces the basic principles of modern computer communication: protocols, architectures and standards. Topics include layered architectures, data transmission, error and flow control, medium access, routing, congestion control and common internet application protocols. Three lecture hours per week
Requisites:
Computer Science 2520 and Computer Science 2820 - Must be completed prior to taking this course.
Qualifications:
Successful applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience. Applicants should have experience in teaching, research or industry practice related to the course content.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster in the academic unit.
