The Department of Athletics and Recreation invites applications for a six-month full-time term position as Finance Officer. This position will report to the Director of Athletics and Recreation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor and maintain departmental budget
• Prepare financial reports as requested
• Prepare and monitor contracts relating to the business operations of the department
• Prepare, process, and monitor the procurement process for equipment and supplies
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls for cash flow

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post-secondary diploma in accounting or business finance from a recognized educational facility
• University degree would be an asset
• Two years relevant experience
• Detailed knowledge of, and experience working with, computerized accounting systems
• Excellent computer skills and familiarity with spreadsheets and database query programs
• Excellent time management skills and organizational skills
• Exceptional communication skills
