Dr. Shafiqul Islam, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, is looking for a Student Research Assistant on a research project with the goal of developing techniques for invariant densities of dynamical systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The research student will help with developing a theoretical and numerical technique for density functions of single dynamical systems as well as for random dynamical systems. The research student will also review the literature concerning densities of dynamical systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have strong background in Calculus and Linear Algebra. Knowledge of Real Analysis and ability to program in MAPLE preferred. The candidate must be in a Mathematics program.
Priority to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
