The Chemistry Department requires a Research Assistant to assist with a Polymer Chemistry research project with Dr. Alaa Abd-El-Aziz involving synthesis and characterization of calixarene containing polymers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The student will be involved in the synthesis and characterization of various calixarenes.
• Other responsibilities will include participation in group meetings, and maintenance of the laboratory working space and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• The successful candidate should be a UPEI Chemistry Majors or Honours student, and have completed at least three years of their Chemistry program with a strong academic performance.

Priority to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
