The mandate of The Webster Centre Services is to create a dynamic hub of integrated academic support services designated to maximize teaching and learning success at the University of Prince Edward Island.
The Manager of Webster Centre will:
• provide leadership, direction and development for the academic programs and services currently offered by the Centre.
• be responsible for the supervision of all team members of Webster Centre Services.
• determine the direction and action plans for the ongoing services offered by the centre.
• work closely with members of the campus community to continue to create a vibrant, lively and supportive campus for our students.
• develop and foster relationships with regional educational facilities, in particular high schools.
• continue to apply for funding opportunities to develop and encourage growth / development of specialized programs.
• be responsible for the department budget and personnel of Webster Centre Services.
• Highly organized in practice, thought and actions with strong initiative.
• Proven interpersonal skills in a team environment
• Experience with Student Success and Academic Achievement of Students
• In-depth knowledge of all programs at the Webster Centre Services
• Experience in leading and supervising in a team environment similar to the Webster Centre Services
• Graduate courses focusing on Leadership in the University Environment
• Established leadership experience with multiple programs and coordinators
• A minimum bachelor’s degree is required
• Certification in Supplemental Instruction, an asset.
• Direct experience working with teams and people with diverse backgrounds and needs.
• Direct experience working with programs of inclusion and equity, an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both individually and as a team member.
