$48,389 to $52,224 per annum pro-rated to term as per CUPE 1870

  The Atlantic Veterinary College requires an individual to act as a liaison between the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) and IT Systems and Services (ITSS) in the continued development and completion of a new electronic medical records (EMR) system for the VTH in addition to being available to support the work of the VTH needed. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Working as a liaison between the VTH and ITSS for matters pertaining to the EMR system • Coordinating the training of new users into the EMR system, being responsible for ongoing training for VTH users, providing first line support for EMR use in the VTH • Working with administration to develop policies pertinent to the EMR system • Assisting in the development of elements of the new EMR system within the VTH including but not limited to billing and inventory management • Assisting with other duties within the VTH as needed QUALIFICATIONS: • A graduate of a relevant postsecondary program including medical terminology • A 4-year degree in business or integrative technology would be an asset • 2 years of experience in a veterinary setting • Excellent interpersonal, communication, computer skills • Ability to problem solve, develop documentation, and work as a part of a team
