37.5 hours per week

$36,408 per annum, prorated to time and term as per CUPE 1870 (salary under review)

August 2012 - March 1, 2013 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements.)


The Veterinary Teaching Hospital requires an Animal Care Attendant to clean and disinfect equipment and animal holding areas; follow specialized feeding instructions; provide assistance with handling patients; assist with daily care of patients including walking and grooming as necessary; work as required with specialized equipment and maintain a high standard of cleanliness. This position includes working some weekends as well as some statutory holidays.
Education - Grade XII, previous experience with small animals is mandatory; small animal hospital experience is an asset; candidates must be self-motivated and able to work independently, but must be able to work well as part of a team.
