The Asian Studies Programme at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a Sessional Instructor for the Fall semester 2016 (Sept 7 - Dec 21).  We are seeking a qualified language instructor to teach the following online credit course in Asian Studies.  This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

A ST 101 – Introduction to Korean I, Web and Moodle
This course is intended for students with no proficiency in Korean at all.  It provides an introduction to the modern Korean language, through the study of basic pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar.  It includes numerous oral drills, frequent written exercises, short oral presentations, and simple readings. Cross-listed with Modern Languages 101.

Successful applicants should have relevant university degrees and experience in teaching Korean as a foreign or second language in an online format at an academic college level.  Please submit a letter of application, an updated curriculum vitae, the names of three referees, and a tentative course syllabus (3-4 pages indicating specifically how this language course will be taught online) to:
