The Department of Applied Human Sciences invites applications for an 8 month term position (August 2018 – May 2019) for a Laboratory Instructor in Kinesiology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The successful candidate will be required to setup, supervise, and instruct laboratories in areas such as Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics
• They will also be responsible for the procurement of supplies, running and maintenance of equipment and general day-to-day oversight of the teaching laboratories

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum qualifications include a B.Sc. in Kinesiology and CSEP-CPT certification (a Masters degree and CSEP-CEP certification would be assets)
• Prior experience teaching in a laboratory setting, and proficiency with techniques for the collection of human physiological and biomechanical data
• Candidates must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills,
• Must show evidence of ability to maintain effective interpersonal relations, be enthusiastic about laboratory teaching and management, and be able to work independently
