The Department of Applied Human Sciences is seeking to hire a summer research assistant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for conducting interviews with female food bank clients, collecting information on food security, dietary intake, and social and demographic information, collecting food costing data from local grocery stores. Specific duties include: contact participants, conduct interviews, including dietary data, contacting grocery stores and conducting food costing survey. Code food recalls for nutrient analysis. Assist in updating literature. Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Currently enrolled in Foods and Nutrition Honours program
• Familiarity and understanding of the unique nature of dietary data collected
• Strong attention to detail; meticulous and exacting approach to data management
• Applicants must have successfully completed FN 351 Nutritional Assessment and FN 331 Research Methods.
