250 hours in total; approximately 6 hours per week

$20.00 per hour, vacation pay included (grant funded)

As soon as possible to June 2014 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements.)

 Grant Funded Position
A Research Assistant is needed to work on a research project about supporting older adults and caregivers in navigating transitions between different types of health services. The Research Assistant will be supervised by Dr. Lori Weeks, Department of Applied Human Sciences, and the interdisciplinary research team.
• participate in research team meetings
• facilitate project communications
• assist with organizing and implementing team meetings
• assist with organizing and implementing community consultation activities with input from the research team

• post secondary courses in relevant discipline
• training and experience in Gerontology, Education, Social Sciences and/or Health Services would be an asset
• strong organizational, and communication skills
• strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets and presentations
• training and experience in qualitative and/or quantitative research would be an asset
