A research assistant position is available for undergraduate engineering student with interest in the design and development of bio-printing technologies. The objective of this project is to optimize the design of a novel printhead. The student will work under the supervision of Dr. Ali Ahmadi and will receive training in the areas of bio-instrumentation and fluidic simulation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The students will work on the following tasks:
• Perform fluidic simulation to model the bio-printing process
• Assist in optimization of design for bio-printing printhead

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic knowledge of engineering design and engineering drawing (CAD) is required
• Proficiency in technical writing is required
• Priority will be given to students with previous experience in fluidic simulation

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
