$35,482 to $39,023 per annum prorated to term as per CUPE 1870

July 2014 to April 30, 2015 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements)

The Office of Research Services (ORS) invites applicants for a nine-month term Administrative Assistant position in support of the activities and services of the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide front office reception
• Assist with processing and tracking internal and external grant and travel awards
• Assist with coordinating research-related committees (research grants, compliance, etc.)
• Assist with researcher file organization
• Enter information and upload documentation to research database for grants, contracts, and compliance
• Prepare account opening documentation
• Organize ORS workshops, meetings, and travel arrangements
• Serve as ORS point of contact for changes to be made to ORS website

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Administrative Assistant coursework with minimum one year working experience. Undergraduate degree would be an asset.  Other relevant education and work experience will be considered.
• Demonstrated experience with database software
• Demonstrated ability to pay strict attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines
• Strong word processing, spreadsheet, and internet research skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
