The Department of Athletics and Recreation is looking for a Student Sales/Marketing Assistant. This individual coordinates/initiates the Athletic Department and Coaches efforts to sell Season Ticket Packages, prepare/support Varsity Communication/marketing strategies and assist with administrative tasks such as student-athlete registration. The individual reports to and takes direction from the Athletic Director and Varsity Coordinator.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Work closely with the Athletic Department, Coaches, and Support Groups, to organize and facilitate Season Ticket Sales
● Work with coaches, Green & White Club, campus departments and support staff to engage, connect Panther fans and promote Panther Sport
● Responsible for acquiring necessary information and produce planning documents, proposals and/or reports
● Responsible for the setup and occupation of Panther Display at special events
● Prepare/support Varsity communication/marketing/promotional strategies
● Perform general duties as required (assisting with student-athlete registration
● In addition, where there are opportunities to connect with youth, fans, alumni and community supporters, the individual is responsible for supporting the department and coach in fostering positive relationships

QUALIFICATIONS:

● Self-starter
● Excellent communication skills
● Outgoing, assertive, personable
● Creative marketing thinker
● Customer service and sales experience an asset
● Strong understanding of Panther Sport and importance of generating revenue though season ticket sales
● Ability to work with minimal supervision
● Driver’s license and access to vehicle
