$12.78 per hour (vacation pay included)

Commencing as soon as possible for 12 weeks

  The CERC Program, Department of Health Management, is seeking to hire a summer student to work on a research project regarding "Demand and Supply Behavior of Salmon Producers and Processors' in Canada". The project term will be 12 weeks, to commence the first week of June. The supervisor for the position will be Dr. Kehar Singh, Research Scientist (Agricultural/Resource Economics), CERC Program.
The successful candidate will be required to travel in Atlantic Provinces, primarily New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland, to conduct a survey of, and participate in discussions with, salmon producers and processors. The student will work with Dr. Singh to conduct data analysis and time series modeling. Other duties as assigned.
A background in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Aquaculture Economics, or other applied Economics, is essential. A bachelor’s degree with a major in Economics/ Agricultural Economics and/or knowledge of salmon industry is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required.
