VBS 1210 - Physiology

The Department of Biomedical Sciences is seeking a sessional instructor (.5 full-time) to assist in delivery of Physiology (VBS 1210) to first-year veterinary students. Responsibilities for this position include presentation of weekly lectures (12) in cardiovascular, respiratory, acid-base balance and excitable cell physiology and assisting with other aspects of course administration (midterm). This position is subject to budgetary approval.

Applicants must hold a DVM and/or graduate degree (MSc or higher, in physiology or a related field).  Preference will be given to those with teaching experience in physiology, but those with evidence of effective teaching in related fields will also be considered. Members of the Sessional Roster of Biomedical Sciences will be given priority.

Remuneration will be as specified in the Faculty Association Collective Agreement.

Physiology is taught during the fall semester, which runs from August to December.
